Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all residential renovation, joinery, and consultation bookings provided by Camber & Mortar. By confirming our written quotation, you agree to these working arrangements.
Parties and Scope
These terms are entered into between Camber & Mortar and the client named on the formal quotation. Our work includes residential carpentry, joinery, and interior building alterations as itemised in the approved scope of work. No alterations to this scope are valid unless confirmed in writing between both parties.
Booking and Quotes
Quotations remain valid for thirty calendar days from issue. A booking is secured once you confirm acceptance of the quote in writing and any required material deposit has reached our bank account. Any initial telephone or email estimate is indicative only until a physical site survey has taken place.
Performance of the Work and Access to the Premises
The client agrees to provide clear access to the workspace, reliable water, electricity, and basic welfare amenities during regular working hours, typically 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. We take pride in running tidy sites, using dust sheets, and vacuuming work zones daily, but the client must remove delicate furniture, art, and personal belongings from the immediate work area prior to start.
Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices
All work is priced in pounds sterling based on the agreed written specification. Payment is due upon practical completion of the work or at pre-arranged stage gates for larger renovations. We accept payment exclusively via bank transfer against our written invoice or cash handed over on completion. We do not accept credit or debit cards, payment terminals, or online card gateways.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel scheduled on-site labour without penalty by providing at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a day-rate charge for lost workshop time. Custom timber pieces already milled, glued, or scribed specifically for your property remain chargeable at cost.
Liability, Insurance and Complaints
Camber & Mortar maintains comprehensive public liability insurance covering domestic renovation work up to two million pounds. We guarantee our joinery joints and installation labour for twelve months from completion. Any concerns regarding fit, finish, or function should be reported to us in writing within seven days of the final walkthrough so we can inspect and rectify the issue.
Governing Law
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with our services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
